We’re starting off with one of our new fave ramen restaurants in the city. Flavourful broth, hearty fillings, and delicate noodles – all in a cozy, unpretentious space on Main. What more could you ask for?

Lunch Lady
This quintessential spot for authentic Vietnamese street food is undoubtedly one of our fave spots in Vancouver, and for good reason. The menu is full of different pho bowls, meat-forwarded dishes, and tasty desserts.

Ramen Danbo
This is your spot for classic shoyu ramen. Rich and creamy, with just the right amount of salt, Danbo offers some of the best ramen in the city, and they’re always worth the lineups.

Sula Indian Restaurant
A local fave for Indian cuisine, Sula offers visitors a taste of their time-honoured family recipes, with three locations to choose from on Commercial, Davie, and Main.

Do Chay Saigon Vegetarian
Vegan or not, a bowl of pho from Do Chay never disappoints! Their ecipe is chock full of delicious ingredients like broccoli tempura, avocado, yuba and bean curd. And here we were thinking that plant-based diets would have a tricky time finding a quality bowl of pho!

Kinton Ramen
Known for its sophisticated, rich soup base and variety of noodle and protein options, Kinton has multiple locations across Metro Vancouver to check out.

If you’re a big soup person, this is one of the few soup cafes in Vancouver. Diners enjoy a rotating menu of wholesome soups like Smokin Beef Chipotle Chili, French Canadian Split Pea Soup, Lucky 13 Vegetable Soup, and much more.

Anh and Chi
This spot along Main Street truly set the bar for modern Vietnamese cuisine in Vancouver, whether you’re craving a giant bowl of pho or some shareable appies.

Burgoo
Comfort food is 100% the name of the game at Burgoo, which has a couple of locations in Vancouver to choose from. We’re partial to one of their fresh sandwiches paired with a soup!

Afghan Horseman
If you want to feel like you’re transported to somewhere outside of Vancouver, this is your pick. As Canada’s first Afghan restaurant, Afghan Horseman has a special place in the cultural and culinary fabric of the city. Its authentic Afghan staples like dahl, palaw, shish kebabs, borani, and chalaw will have you reaching for more.

The Ramen Butcher
Although the name is unique, The Ramen Butcher is affiliated with the insanely popular Menya Kouji Group in Japan. You can’t go wrong with the menu here!

Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba
This spot offers a particular dish that we’re intrigued by. Sure, (tasty) ramen is available, but the real draw here is the mazesoba, which is more or less the brothless cousin of ramen. Fun fact- this Japanese chain is the largest in the world for the dish.

Afuri ramen + dumpling
If you love dumplings, this is your spot! You’ve got flavourful small plates, a range of gyoza, donburi, sushi rolls, and afuri ramen.

Cafe Dang Anh
This spot might be located in an unconventional space, but their authentic Northern Vietnamese food is definitely worth the trip. A little taste of the heart of Hanoi!

Le Petit Saigon
If you’re looking for a particularly fragrant broth, consider checking out Le Petit Saigon. That’s what sold us, at least. Now, we look forward to pretty much everything on the menu, but we keep coming back to the pho.
